Catherine Brozowski
Catherine Brozowski is the Vice President with the Orfalea Foundations. Catherine's responsibilities include managing grantmaking for education, learning differences, and partnering with regional community foundations. She provides leadership support for the Montana Yellowstones Expedition Foundation. She is part of the foundation's core strategy team, and oversees some of the internal operations. She also serves on the Grantmakers for Effective Organizations membership committee and the Eleos Foundation Board of Directors. Formerly, Catherine was the Vice President of Programs at the Santa Barbara Foundation. This work included leadership and overall direction for grantmaking, community convening activities, and managing special initiatives. Prior to her move to Santa Barbara, Catherine was the Corporate Giving Manager for Washington Mutual, managing education and affordable housing grantmaking in the Southeast, including Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. She has also worked with the Group Health Foundation designing a national demonstration initiative, Managed Care and Community Health, as well as conducting performance evaluation with the Foundation's grantees. Catherine began her career as a Conference Coordinator and Research Analyst for the National Network of Grantmakers, a network of progressive funders. Catherine completed the Hull Fellowship program for young people in philanthropy through the Southeastern Council of Foundations. She holds a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego and completed her Master's of Public Administration (M.P.A.) with an emphasis in Nonprofit Management from the University of Washington.
