Claude & Susan Case

Claude & Susan Case have been Partners with SVP Arizona since April 2000. Both were lead partners for five years, he was liaison with Arizona Quest for Kids and she interfaced with Creciendos Unidos (Growing Together). Claude has been on the SVPAZ Board of Directors for the past six years and Susan has been active on the re-investment committee, which carefully reviews the investment portfolio annually. Both have been devoted to education and to helping those less fortunate their entire adult lives. After earning his A.B. from Princeton in 1964, Claude served in the Peace Corps in Colombia for two years. After gaining a M.Ed. from Harvard, he taught High School in Concord, MA. Susan Case attended Wellesley College and has a B.A. in English from Syracuse University and a Masters of Education from Columbia University. Claude and Susan met in 1967 in South Carolina working for the Southern Teaching Program as civil rights activists and were married a year later. Susan taught public high school in New York and Boston before moving to Arizona with Claude in 1969. He spent over 30 years from 1971 to 2002 as CEO of his family's tire distribution business. Mid-career, he polished his commercial skills at Harvard Graduate School of Business earning an O.P.M. in 1990. From 1997-2003 he served as CEO of American Car Care Centers, a national tire and auto repair franchise group with over 1000 points of sale. Susan was also active in the family business and is past President of the Arizona Tire Dealers Association. She has served on many non-profit boards. She retired when the family tire distribution company was sold in 2002. She is currently on the Research Committee of the Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara and Vice President of Activities of Santa Barbara Newcomers. They have three adult children.
