Mitchell Kauffman
Mitchell Kauffman, as managing director of Kauffman Wealth Services (offices in Santa Barbara and Pasadena), provides comprehensive wealth management and financial advisory services. A financial writer, his work and interviews have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, KNBC Los Angeles, Chicago Tribune, Kiplinger, as well as in local publications such as the Montecito Journal, Santa Barbara News Press and Pasadena Star News.
Mitchell is one of five financial advisors in the U.S. named to the Advisor Hall of Fame for 2010 by Research Magazine. He was recognized as one of three "Bear Market Stars" nationally by Registered Representative Magazine in its August 2009 issue for performance during the economic market downturn. Mitchell feels fortunate to have served as a graduate fellow under the late Dr. Peter F. Drucker at the Claremont Graduate University where he earned his M.B.A. He subsequently earned his Certification in Financial Planning and Masters of Science from the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colorado. He received his B.A. in Business Economics and Political Science from UCSB and achieved a life-long dream by moving back to Santa Barbara in 2006 with his wife, Joanne Moran, followed by their daughter and son-in-law Jeremy Smith, along with recent twin granddaughters.
Mitchell and Joanne volunteer team teach retirement workshops at Santa Barbara City College and Pasadena City College adult education. Mitchell and serves on the board of the Anti Defamation League in Santa Barbara and on the SBCC President’s Council.
