Ron Gallo

Ronald V. Gallo, Ed.D., is President & CEO of the Santa Barbara Foundation, a community foundation established in 1928 that serves all of Santa Barbara County.  A native of New York City, he was for the fifteen years before coming to Santa Barbara, the President & CEO of The Rhode Island Foundation.  Prior to his leading community foundations, Ron was the Executive Director of the Jessie Ball duPont Fund at Jacksonville, Florida, and consultant to the Arthur D. Little Foundation at Cambridge, Massachusetts.  During his more-than-three decades in philanthropy and nonprofit leadership he has had a special interest in sustaining equitable community development, supporting public education reform, improving health outcomes for communities, fostering creative partnerships between the private and public sectors, and identifying new models of philanthropy.
