Grantmaking
Grantmaking
We leverage our donors’ philanthropic gifts by matching their business know-how with the distinct requirements of nonprofits.
SVP collaborates with nonprofit organizations—Investees—both financially and strategically, pooling Partners’ contributions into multi-year investments to strengthen organizations, and the system in which they work.
Through a rigorous grant process, SVP works with nonprofits that are interested in the combination of expertise and financial resources SVP and our Partners can provide. All of our Investees have a clear vision, strong leadership, a commitment to measuring outcomes and a desire to collaborate with high-level volunteers.

SVP has changed the ways non-profits do business in communities around the country.
"With the help of SVP’s brilliant volunteer consultants, Kindering Center has matured its capability in the areas of marketing, finance, human resources, technology, strategic planning, development, program evaluation, and board development. Bottom line – during its partnership with SVP, Kindering Center doubled its capacity to help infants and children with special needs." – Mimi Segal, Executive Director, Kindering Center, Seattle
"A lot of non profits don’t have experience working with consultants and they imagine that the consultant will come in and do the work for them. Working with SVP is having a partnership in which you have to do even more work than you would without them. The process is great, but you have to put the time in. In that case, you’ll get results and you’ll learn so much about running a successful organization." - Kristin Aslan, former Executive Director, Project YES and Teens, Inc., Boulder County
"[Dallas] SVP started asking questions, surrounded us with support, guided us, gave us resources, built a foundation, and created a roadmap to help us get to a bold goal. They brought the brains and bucks to do consultation, brand our programs, retool them, think strategically, and seize opportunities. They've encouraged us and befriended us in every way." - Brian Burton, Executive Director of The Wilkinson Center
